mobile market volunteer

We are looking for volunteers to help with our mobile FARMacy markets!

Community FarmShare runs mobile FARMacy markets at 9 different locations throughout Montgomery County. You can see a complete list of our market locations and dates here.

Our farm markets provide fresh, culturally appropriate fruits and vegetables in communities where otherwise affordable, high quality local produce is not easily accessible. Community residents who are in our Farm to School or Food Is Medicine programs can shop using prepaid accounts. The market also accepts SNAP, and SNAP purchases are matched through Maryland Market Money. All fresh produce is sourced from our Montgomery County farm partners, therefore supporting our local farmers as well.

Volunteers are needed to help our CFS staff set up and close down the market, restock the tables, hand out info/resources and generally be a welcoming, supportive, engaging team member to provide a positive experience in the community. Working at the mobile market offers a unique experience for volunteers to be able to interact and connect with the participants of our programs. 

Community FarmShare strives to build community and offers opportunities to connect with other volunteers and stakeholders through various activities. We look forward to serving our communities together with you!
