Beauty Blooms Farm
Mt. Airy, MD
Beauty Blooms Farm began from the longing for food systems change and a reconnection to my roots. Our produce and flower farm started with the loving support of my family members and friends as a 20×20 garden at home.
To celebrate cultural heritage through food, Beauty Blooms Farm provides certified naturally-grown, high-quality, culturally significant food and flowers to the D.C. Metro area. We envision a thriving community with full access to the food they grew up eating and a connection to their cultural heritage.
We are passionate about local food production and aspire to build a farm that centers around community, cultural heritage, and possibilities for local sustainable food systems.
Blueberry Gardens

In our efforts to do our part in making this happen for our community we follow biodynamic and organic farming techniques. We have been and continue to nurture the soil in which our vegetables are grown.
People who eat our vegetables often comment favorably about their flavor, freshness, size and color. At the end of our weekly farm news it says "As always, it is a pleasure to be growing for you!"
Chirandu Farm
Dickerson, MD
Chirandu Farm is a vegetable farm owned and operated by two sisters (Marcey and Precious Guramatunhu) of African heritage/origin. The 26-acre parcel of land that the sisters acquired in August 2020, is located in the Montgomery County’s Agricultural Reserve area, Dickerson, Maryland. The sisters are growing a variety of vegetables and other food crops along with some African specialty ethnic food crops using sustainable and regenerative farming practices and methods.
The sister’s long-term goal is to become a certified organic food farm serving the local community as well as the African immigrant community in Maryland and surrounding states. Vegetables from the farm are sold mostly via an onsite farm stand and also via a few grocery stores. This year the sisters are looking forward to providing fresh produce to food banks and to organizations that cater to immigrant communities.
